Phil Cross
My name is Phil Cross and I am A Light Painter. My Light Painting Photographs are taken at night, I move in real time using light trails to paint a picture in the natural landscape of Devon, which is where I live. The nightscape is my 3D Canvas and I use flash lights and light tools as my Paint brushes, capturing all the movement with my camera.
All images are Straight out of the camera through the lens, no editing, no post-production and no Photoshop!
My ideas normally come from my imagination and end up being created spontaneous making these images unique, I like to try to make the impossible…..Possible!
I hope you enjoy my Website and feel free to contact me with feedback and inquiries anytime!
Light painting
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Light painting, or light drawing, is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. The technique is used for both scientific and artistic purposes, as well as in commercial photography. Light painting has long inspired photographers with the technique capturing a moving light source whilst taking a long exposure photograph which is difficult to perfect but can produce exciting results
